At digi-pin.in and digipinindia.in, our mission is to simplify access to India's innovative Digital Postal Index Number (DIGIPIN) system. We aim to provide a user-friendly and feature-rich platform that empowers individuals and businesses to easily find, share, and utilize DIGIPINs for precise location identification across the country.
The Official DIGIPIN Initiative
The Digital Postal Index Number (DIGIPIN) is a visionary initiative by the Department of Posts, Ministry of Communications, Government of India. Developed in collaboration with esteemed institutions like IIT Hyderabad and NRSC, ISRO, DIGIPIN is an open-source, geo-coded addressing system designed to revolutionize traditional addressing by assigning a unique 10-digit alphanumeric code to every approximate 4m x 4m grid unit in India. It serves as a foundational layer for India's Digital Public Infrastructure (DPI), enabling "Address as a Service" (AaaS) for seamless delivery of public and private services.

Leveraging the robust open-source base provided by the Indian Postal Department, we at digi-pin.in and digipinindia.in have developed an improved and more intuitive version of the DIGIPIN lookup service. - Google Map Search Integration: Unlike other DIGIPIN websites, our platform allows users to directly search for locations using Google Maps' powerful search capabilities. Simply type an address, landmark, or area name, and our system will pinpoint it on the map, instantly providing the corresponding DIGIPIN for that precise location. This eliminates the need for manual latitude/longitude input, making it incredibly intuitive.
- Effortless Share Links: Easily share any generated DIGIPIN with others. Our platform provides a direct shareable link that, when clicked, allows recipients to navigate to multiple popular navigation websites (e.g., Google Maps, OpenStreetMap, etc.) pre-populated with the DIGIPIN's location, ensuring accurate directions.
- Instant QR Code Generation: For ultimate convenience, every DIGIPIN generated on our site comes with an option to generate a QR code. This QR code can be scanned by any smartphone, instantly revealing the DIGIPIN and its corresponding location on a map, perfect for quick sharing and on-the-go access.
- User-Centric Design: We've invested in a responsive and modern user interface, ensuring a smooth and efficient experience across all devices, from desktops to mobile phones.
